"Puffing Billy", one of Mount Dandenong's most famous attractions, leaves from Belgrave and travels 13 kilometres to Emerald Lake. This little train, loved by travellers of all ages, is pulled by the only surviving locomotive designed for narrow-gauge tracks at the turn of the century.

Puffing Billy

After a short but delightful ride on the train to Menzies Creek, we head north through the Sherbrooke Forest Park, Forest Reserve and Olinda State Forest to the Lookout on the top of Mount Dandenong. After taking in the panoramic views we move into the Yarra Valley, for lunch and wine tasting at De Bortoli Winery and Restaurant. The Healesville Sanctuary, a short drive through the rolling hills of the Yarra Valley, is where we can see more than 200 species of birds, Emus, Koalas, Kangaroos, Platypus and Reptiles.
